Placement Dinners

Introduction

Make sure that you have read the section on "Dinners" in "The Process". That is likely to give you a much more extensive idea of what happens during a dinner and why. Here we shall very briefly touch upon a couple of last minute pointers for dinners:
- Relax, and go with the flow of the event.
- Aim to be bearable over being memorable.
- Do attempt to make genuinely interesting conversation, rather than quietly observing the dinner.
The third point might feel like its in contrast with the above two ideas. There is a fine line between being the ice breaker, who is able to keep the conversation flowing, and being the bore, who hogs the mic. It may be difficult to tread that line. So do make sure, that you participate at least a little, so that with time, you're able to develop the skill of being on the right side of the line.
